XX894 was towed out on Saturday ( 15 December 2007 ) to begin
engine runs using the newly installed fuel system.
After a little bit of time and effort the starboard engine roared
into life for an approximate fifteen minute run.
All hydraulic services, electrics and boundary layer blow valves
were tested successfully during the run and the engine was taken
up to 75% HP RPM.
The port engine refused to light correctly and upon examination
was found to have a slightly high primary burner rail pressure
.
Unfortunately some rectification work will be required over the
next visit or two to resolve the problem. Not to worry though,
it is fixable and the team have faced far worse problems in the
past!
